Primetimers Hootenanny July 2024

We are hoping you will join us on Sunday, July 28 from 3 – 5 PM for the Prime Timer Hootenanny!

What is a hootenanny? A hootenanny is an informal gathering, typically centered around music, where individuals come together to enjoy performances, share songs, and revel in the joy of communal entertainment. Hootenannies are known for their warm, inclusive atmosphere and often feature a mix of folk, country, and acoustic music.

Our song list includes many tunes you may be familiar with already: Blowin’ in the Wind, If I Had a Hammer, Puff the Magic Dragon, Woodstock, This Land is Your Land, Leavin’ On a Jet Plane, We Shall Overcome plus others from the 50’s and 60’s.

Our “coffee house” will be led by Howard and Ellen Mirowitz and Francine Wenhardt and the song lyrics will be projected on a screen so EVERYONE can participate, bring an instrument if you have one! There will be some light refreshments served and we encourage you to come dressed in the 50’s or 60’s (or even 70’s) era!

Please RSVP using the link below and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Peace and love,

The Prime Timer Planning Committee
